Adapters
SGP Adapter |
 |
SGP: Dual or Quad Port PCI Adapter for 5v PCI buses
SGP is available as a two or four port high-speed synchronous
communications adapter.
SGP's design incorporates a Bus Master Controller to transfer data directly from the serial communications line
to PC memory, allowing the adapter to support speeds exceeding 4 Mbps
with minimal bus and CPU overhead.
|
|
SGP3: Dual Port PCI/PCI-X Adapter for 3.3v PCI buses
SGP3 is available as a two port high-speed synchronous communications adapter.
As with the SGP, SGP3's design incorporates a Bus Master Controller to transfer data directly from the serial communications line
to PC memory, allowing the adapter to support speeds exceeding 4 Mbps
with minimal bus and CPU overhead.
|
The SGP and SGP3 is available with RS-232, V.35, X.21 or RS-422 electrical
interfaces in a mix and match manner.
No DIP switches and no jumpers are required.
Each adapter occupies a memory window that can be mapped anywhere in a bus
address space (0-4 Gbytes for PCI).
Standard software releases support up to four adapters per machine.
On a special-order basis, software drivers are available to handle
up to 16 adapters in one system.
The Software Group's Wanware and Netcom II software are written
specifically for this adapter line (SG2P, SG4P, and SG2P3). |
